Job Description:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead ensures that all cultivation operations meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This role oversees quality control systems, audits, and documentation to guarantee consistent, compliant, and high-quality cannabis production. The QA Lead collaborates with cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest teams to identify process improvements, monitor environmental conditions, and maintain compliance with state and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce quality assurance and compliance programs for cultivation operations.

  • Conduct facility audits and inspections to ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor environmental and sanitation conditions within grow and processing areas.

  • Manage documentation for batch records, pesticide use, and nutrient applications.

  • Coordinate testing for microbial, pesticide, and heavy metal contaminants.

  • Investigate and resolve quality deviations or contamination events.

  • Train cultivation staff on QA standards, SOP compliance, and best practices.

  • Prepare reports and maintain readiness for state inspections and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Biology, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of QA experience in cannabis cultivation, agriculture, or controlled-environment production.

  • Strong understanding of GMP/GACP standards and state cannabis regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
