Job Summary:

Verano Holdings is a national, vertically integrated operator of licensed cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, and retail facilities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist, which reports to the company’s Director of Talent Acquisition, will primarily focus on supporting full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition strategy for all levels and areas of the business. This role will directly interface with department leaders across the organization to support hiring needs and will assist in developing and maintaining strong candidate pipelines.

The role offers remote flexibility; however, candidates must live within commuting distance of the office and be available for periodic in-person activities.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the internal recruiting team in managing full-cycle recruiting and staffing needs.
  • Interface with candidates and hiring managers to schedule preliminary phone screens and interviews.
  • Maintain communication with candidates throughout recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Assist in monitoring and identifying top-tier talent on internal and external job boards.
  • Prepare and send onboarding documentation, such as offer letters, business protection agreements, and state badging instructions.
  • Prepare and submit state badging documentation to the Department of Agriculture.
  • Foster long-term relationships with candidates, internal hiring managers, and other contacts.
  • Stay up to date on cannabis industry news and trends.
  • Document and report recruiting metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting for a variety of positions and levels within an organization.
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices, employment laws, and hiring processes.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Strong candidate sourcing skills utilizing job boards, networking, and referral programs.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain an agent badge from the state’s cannabis commission.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred.

The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
