Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The FP&A internship aims to provide hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis within a dynamic FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) environment. The FP&A intern will gain exposure to critical business processes, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to developing financial models and forecasts. The FP&A internship offers a unique opportunity to develop analytical skills, understand key financial metrics, and participate in cross-functional projects that drive business performance. The FP&A internship is designed to prepare aspiring finance professionals for a successful career.

This is a full-time paid internship. The hourly rate for this position will be $21/hour. The duration of the internship will be between Memorial Day 2025 (5/26/2025) and Labor Day 2025 (9/1/2025).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The FP&A Intern will support the FP&A team in various financial tasks such as modeling, analysis, automation, data entry, and report generation. At the conclusion of the internship, the FP&A intern will have the opportunity to present a capstone project to Verano’s finance senior leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Rising junior or senior located in the Chicago area
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA students are also welcome to apply
  • Analytical skills in Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Interest in the cannabis industry
