Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition - Corporate role is responsible for leading recruiting initiatives for corporate roles across the organization. This role partners closely with operational and business leaders to align talent strategies with current and future hiring needs. It requires independent judgment, a high degree of initiative, and strong engagement across all levels of the organization. This role plays a critical part in embedding Verano’s culture into the recruitment process and ensuring strong outcomes through standardized hiring practices and delivery against KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of top talent for current and future openings
  • Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Stay informed on recruitment trends and best practices
  • Develop and execute an employer branding strategy to position Verano as a top employer
  • Create compelling content to promote company culture and values across digital platforms
  • Oversee social media presence, career site updates, and other branding channels
  • Partner with marketing and communications to align employer brand with company messaging
  • Monitor the effectiveness of branding efforts and apply data-driven improvements
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in all recruitment efforts
  • Partner with HR to uphold equitable and unbiased hiring practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and report on key hiring metrics
  • This role is currently slated as an individual contributor, with the opportunity to move into a managing role in the future based on business needs and performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of experience in high-volume and corporate recruiting
  • At least one year of experience managing others or leading initiatives
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Willingness to undergo a background check
  • Ability to register with multiple state cannabis commissions as an agent
  • Must be able to work out of corporate office in Old Town 3 times a week

Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
    • Proven experience in talent acquisition and employer branding, preferably within CPG, Food & Beverage, or regulated industries
    • Strong understanding of recruitment practices, labor laws, and HR principles
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
    • Proficiency in ATS platforms and HR tools
    • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors required
    • Experience with Paradox is a plus
    • Ability to develop creative, engaging content to support employer branding
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
