Job Summary

Verano IT is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking SAP Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP solutions within our SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud landscape. The architect will support core modules including Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance & Controlling (FICO), and Production Planning (PP), and drive seamless integration with SuccessFactors, Ariba, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and MS Power BI. This is a strategic and hands-on role that ensures SAP architecture aligns with Verano's business goals, scalability needs, and future growth initiatives.

 

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days on-site at Verano HQ (224 W. Hill St, Chicago IL).

 

Verano requires applicants to have permanent United States work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and maintain enterprise-wide SAP architecture for SD, MM, FICO, PP and PM modules on the S/4HANA 2021 Private Cloud platform.
  • Lead cross-functional SAP solution design, ensuring alignment with Verano’s business strategy and IT roadmap.
  • Define integration strategies for SuccessFactors, Ariba, and SAC, ensuring secure, real-time, and reliable data exchange.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable SAP solutions using standard configuration and best practices.
  • Provide architectural governance and review during blueprinting, implementation, testing, and cutover phases.
  • Function as a key technical/functional advisor to SAP project teams, developers, and functional leads.
  • Champion SAP best practices and support change management initiatives across business units.
  • Guide the development of interfaces and APIs to support hybrid integrations between SAP and third-party systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to optimize system reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage SAP innovations such as Fiori UX, embedded analytics, machine learning, and automation.
  • Lead proofs-of-concept (POCs) and technology evaluations for emerging SAP technologies and tools.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and governance standards are embedded into the SAP architecture.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of SAP experience with at least 3 years as a Solution Architect.
  • Hands-on implementation experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA 
  • Expertise in SD, MM, FICO, and PP modules, with end-to-end process knowledge.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based SAP integrations including SuccessFactors, Ariba, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting business processes in retail, manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.

  • Proven background of leading through influence.
