Job Summary

This position serves as the primary functional lead for SAP Materials Management (with strong Ariba integrations) and Sales & Distribution on SAP S/4HANA, including integration with third-party software. The role supports both production incidents and service requests, as well as new SDLC configuration and development.

Verano’s SAP environment is significantly customized in both S/4HANA and Ariba. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a non-standard environment, able to read and extend existing customizations, and able to exercise judgment on when to retain, refactor, or retire custom code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support SAP MM and SD processes end-to-end, including Purchasing through SAP Ariba, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification, and integration with FICO (FI/CO), AP, LE, and AR within SAP S/4HANA.
  • Own the design, development, and support of reports, interfaces, enhancements, and integrations; prepare functional and technical design documents, including specifications for ABAP development.
  • Analyze business processes and data to identify improvement opportunities and deliver solutions that produce measurable business value.
  • Direct and validate work performed by external AMS partners, ensuring quality, adherence to design standards, and consistency with the broader SAP architecture.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing system support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP MM/SD experience at a senior functional level, with a strong understanding of the underlying technical architecture. Desired expertise in P2P flow, SPRO configuration and Ariba integration — hands-on SAP Ariba experience is a big plus.
  • Deep functional expertise across MM (Material Master, PIRs, Source Lists, Business Partner, procurement, RFQ/PR/PO, inventory management) and SD/LE (order processing, pricing procedures, CMIR, customer master, picking/packing/shipping, billing, returns, payment options).
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-class SAP S/4HANA solutions integrated with non-SAP technologies.
  • Experience with invoice processing tools such as Stampli; familiarity with HighRadius, VisualLease, LeafTrade, and BioTrack integrations is a plus.
  • Experience in IDOC monitoring, IDOC related troubleshooting and enhancements related to IDOC / EDI. SAP ABAP debugging skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) integration points, particularly SD-to-billing, MM-to-AP, and revenue posting flows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills; ability to lead through influence across all organizational levels.
