Job Summary

This position is responsible for developing and managing a team that handles multi-site, domestic and globally sourced Indirect Materials and Services.  This position is a people manager with 3-4 direct. Indirect planning must balance operational costs, production constraints and order lead time to produce optimal solutions. Indirect Purchasing also supports cross functional partners and spend/spend analysis.   Position is required to support the team in maintaining system data elements, maintain inventory targets and shares responsibility to ensure key company objectives of customer service and on-time delivery are met.  Position is responsible for supporting manufacturing attainment and adherence objectives by ensuring the right materials/services, in the right place and in the right amount to support production plans.  The position also supports assigned sites through advising operations, quality and logistics staff on plant and shop floor inventories.  Requires the ability to work cross-functionally to influence, negotiate and otherwise manage the network of interconnected functions, resources and teams who procure, transport, store and use packaging and ingredient semi-finished good products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will support Director of SC Procurement and become SME of Contract Lifecycle Management within SAP rollout
  • Create Supplier performance and risk management Dashboards, SOPs for Supply chain team for CLM
  • Lead 3-4 direct reports: dedicated to production planning and waste reduction / process improvement
  • Collaboratively work with several teams across the Supply Chain to drive mutual success:
  • Partner collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to be able to proactively communicate service risks and partner to find solutions to support Business and Customer priorities
  • Key performance indicators for this role include order (PARS) fill rate (product availability), production attainment, inventory levels
  • Leverage knowledge of the SAP Integrated Supply Chain Planning (ISCP) tools and processes, while having a solid business and supply chain knowledge

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience
  • MRP, Purchasing or other transferable experience preferred
  • SAP Integrated Supply Chain Planning (ISCP) tools experience preferred
  • Knowledge or project management experience with Contract Lifecycle Software
  • Previous planning experience a plus
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
