Job Summary

Our ideal Inventory Specialists is responsible for owning the Inventory functions both electronically and physically.  Attention to detail is key in this role since the Inventory specialists will be responsible for accuracy in areas including, quality control, state reporting systems (METRC, BioTrack, etc.) and Compliance Audits, and order fulfillment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain all vault/back-of-house inventory operations
  • Own regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate levels and immediately report any discrepancies to retail leadership.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve all inventory variances.
  • Provide written root cause analysis and resolution steps to GM.
  • Ensure FIFO compliance and organize storage systems.
  • Obtain cannabis product from the vault and provide it to Cannabis Advisor for sale.
  • Full ownership in verifying all product received is properly labeled in accordance with state & local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork.
  • Accurate record keeping and upkeep of all inventory documents.
  • Work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports for leadership insights.
  • Partner with leadership to prevent overstock/stockouts.
  • Reconcile inventory with state tracking and POS systems to ensure all information is accurately porting to the state system and no malfunctions of the POS and scales are occurring.
  • Continuously complete and research on-going cannabis education and training.
  • Provide support to managers and other Cannabis Advisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
    Confirm online orders are completed and accurate prior to pick-up.
  • Understand and follow detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
  • Stock merchandise and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory.
  • Accurately review and organize Medical and Recreational Inventory.
  • Lead monthly SOX physical inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Provides seconds support to the sales floor at the direction of GM/AGM when inventory responsibilities are complete.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
  • Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
  • Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software i.e. Word, Excel, email, etc.
  • Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work outside of normally scheduled shifts depending on auditing schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of retail or hospitality experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 25lbs. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
